How Goosechase Uses AI: Privacy Policy Updates (June 2026)
Here’s an overview of what’s new, and you can always click the links below for more detail.
How Does Goosechase Use AI? 🤖
The headline: We don’t train AI models on your data.
- A new public AI Use Policy. We’ve taken what used to be a short section inside the Terms and made it a standalone, much fuller document. It describes every AI feature in Goosechase today, every AI tool we use internally, and the guardrails we operate under.
- No model training on your data. Across the Privacy Policy, the Terms, the AI Use Policy, and the Student Privacy Policy, we've committed in writing that your content, and especially student data, is not used to train AI models. We back this commitment through commercial, legal, and administrative safeguards.
Where we use AI, whether it's helping Creators build Experiences, supporting moderation and compliance review, or helping our own team, a human person stays in the loop before anything ships.
How Does Goosechase Protect Student Data? 🎒
If you’re running Goosechase in a school district, the most material updates are here.
- New York Education Law §2-d. Our Student Privacy Policy now has a dedicated section covering the obligations we take on as a third-party contractor under NY Ed Law 2-d, including encryption commitments, breach-notification timelines, and sub-processor flow-down.
- Tighter COPPA and SOPIPA language. Our commitments to children under 13 and to California students are now explicit and easier to read. The AI-no-training rule is called out separately for student data, with verifiable-parental-consent requirements if that ever changes.
- Single sign-on (SSO) for districts. Where your district has chosen to use a supported identity platform, we've documented exactly what we receive and how district administrators stay in control.
Who Are Goosechase's Sub-Processors? 🛠
A sub-processor is a third-party vendor we use to deliver services. We've kept this page complete and current, but the June 2026 refresh is a bigger update than usual.
- New vendors added. We've removed old vendors, added new ones, and detailed how each is used.
- A new "Cross-border Transfer Mechanism" column. For every vendor, you can see how data moves across borders, e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, intra-US, or another lawful mechanism. No more guessing.
