Take Control of the Competition: New Leaderboard Visibility Settings
The leaderboard is a cornerstone of Goosechase: the spark that fuels friendly competition, drives momentum, and keeps participants chasing just a few more points before time runs out.
But not every Experience needs a full-on race from start to finish. Sometimes you want suspense. Sometimes you want focus. And sometimes you want no points talk at all.
Now, you get to choose.
Introducing Leaderboard Visibility Settings, a new way to decide exactly what participants see (and when they see it) on the leaderboard in the Goosechase app.
Three Ways to Shape the Competition
Inside the Leaderboard page in Studio, you’ll now find three visibility modes:

1. Leaderboard is visible
The default.
Everyone sees every team’s points and ranking throughout the entire Experience. Great for pure competition, high-energy events, and anything that thrives on a race-to-the-top vibe.
2. Hidden until I reveal it
Keep the leaderboard secret until you decide the moment is right.
Perfect for dramatic mid-event reveals, plot twists in story-driven adventures, or controlled pacing during trainings.
When the time comes, hit “Reveal now” to make the standings visible instantly. Or never reveal it, it’s totally up to you!
3. Hidden until experience ends
No rankings, no comparisons…just pure participation.
Participants only see their points during the Experience, and the full leaderboard appears automatically when the Experience ends. Ideal for events where the focus is on exploration, creativity, learning, or community-building rather than winning.
Creator Controls That Put You in the Director’s Chair
All settings live neatly on the Leaderboard Visibility panel in Studio. Choose a visibility mode, confirm your selection, and the studio will clearly display what participants are seeing at any moment.
And if you’re using Hidden until I reveal it, you’ll see a “Reveal now” button right in the panel. One tap, and the leaderboard is live.
Creators always see the full leaderboard in studio, no matter what participants see on mobile.
What Participants See (and Don’t See)
When the Leaderboard is Visible

Participants can:
- View full team standings
- Compare points
- See rankings in every team feed header
- Track who’s surging ahead
Great for motivating, thrilling, and energizing competitive teams.
When the Leaderboard is Hidden

Participants can:
- See only their own points
- View their team feed normally
But they won’t see:
- Other teams’ points
- Rankings
- Submission counts for any team feed
This lets you shift focus onto creativity, collaboration, exploration, or the experience itself rather than the scoreboard.
Why You’ll Love It: Even More Creative Ways to Run Experiences
Leaderboard visibility settings open up new design possibilities for every creator. Use them to build:
- Suspense-driven adventures where the leaderboard reveals itself at a critical moment.
- Learning Experiences that focus on mastery, not competition.
- Corporate events where you save the big reveal for the wrap-up session.
- Community or family-friendly hunts where ranking isn’t the main attraction.
- Story-driven quests where progress matters more than points.
- Creative showcases where the leaderboard at the end celebrates everyone’s work.
Flexibility = more ways to craft an Experience that fits your goals.
