Missions in this template
Missions are the challenges your crew tackles to earn points, from snapping photos to cracking trivia questions. This template comes with 20 ready to go: 14 photo and video challenges and 6 questions. Once it's yours, tweak any Mission or dream up your own!
Parade Route
Easy points to get the trivia rolling: the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, with its giant balloons and marching bands, was first held in 1924. In which American city does it march every year? Type the city!
Squad Roll Call
Welcome to Friendsgiving! Every friend group has a signature move: a secret handshake, a group pose, a ridiculous chant. Gather your whole team and snap a photo of your crew doing your official squad pose. No signature pose yet? Invent one right now!
Best Turkey Impression
Find out who in your group has been hiding a talent. Each teammate performs their best turkey impression: the strut, the head bob, the gobble. Record all of them in one video (under 30 seconds) and let the feed decide who wins.
Friendship by the Numbers
Do the math on your team: add up how many years each teammate has known the person to their left. What's your team's grand total of friendship years? Type the number, and be ready to show your work if anyone challenges it!
Most Likely To...
On the count of three, everyone on your team points at the friend MOST likely to fall asleep on the couch before dessert. Snap the photo mid-point, with the accused's reaction in frame. No take-backs!
Potluck Glamour Shot
Somebody spent hours on that dish, and it deserves a magazine cover. Pick one potluck dish and style a glamour shot worthy of a food magazine: dramatic lighting, a garnish, a fancy napkin, a model's hand reaching in. Snap the photo and give it the respect it deserves.
The One About Thanksgiving
Pop culture trivia! Which classic sitcom about six friends living in New York City aired a Thanksgiving episode in every one of its 10 seasons, making Friendsgiving a TV tradition long before the word was popular? Type the show's name!
The Original Long Weekend
Think your Friendsgiving runs long? The 1621 harvest celebration shared by the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag people went on for several days. How many days did it last? Type the number!
A Toast to the Group
Raise whatever's in your glass! Record a toast where each teammate shares one thing they're thankful for about someone else in the group. Specific beats sappy: name the friend and the moment. Keep it under 45 seconds and end with a big cheers.
Hand Turkey Portraits
Remember hand turkeys? They're back, and they're personal. Each teammate traces their hand on a napkin or scrap of paper and turns it into a hand-turkey portrait of ANOTHER friend in the group: their signature look, catchphrase or style. Line them up and snap one photo of the whole gallery.
Head Games
More Friends trivia! In the episode 'The One with All the Thanksgivings,' Monica puts something on her head (along with a fez and sunglasses) to cheer Chandler up. What does she put on her head?
Inside Joke Freeze Frame
Every great friend group runs on inside jokes. Pick one of your team's favorites and re-enact it as a frozen photo: the pose, the props, the facial expressions, all of it. Bonus bragging rights if the other teams can't figure out what's going on. Snap the photo!
Our Origin Story
How did this friend group even happen? Record a 30-second video telling the story of how your team first met, narrated in your most dramatic movie-trailer voice. 'In a world... where two strangers reached for the last slice of pizza...' Every teammate should appear on camera.
The Perfect Leftover Sandwich
The day-after leftover sandwich is a sacred art. Using only what's on the potluck table, build your team's idea of the perfect Thanksgiving leftover sandwich (or a mini version of it). Name your creation, then snap a photo of it, ideally mid-bite.
The Weirdest Tradition
After all this tradition-swapping, which family Thanksgiving tradition on your team is the most unexpected? Describe it in one or two sentences, and name whose family it belongs to so the other teams can ask follow-up questions at dinner.
Family Dish Reveal
Every family has that one Thanksgiving dish that HAS to be on the table, no matter what. Record a video where each teammate names their family's must-have dish and explains why it matters. Extra points for the strangest one. Keep it under 45 seconds!
Friend Group Album Cover
If your friend group were a band, what would your debut album be called? Write the band name and album title on a piece of paper, then stage your team's most dramatic album cover photo. Moody lighting, serious faces and questionable outfits strongly encouraged.
Throwback Recreation
Scroll way back through someone's camera roll and find an old photo of your friend group. The older and more embarrassing, the better. Now recreate it as closely as you can: same poses, same faces, same energy. Snap your recreation (bonus if you show the original next to it).
Tradition Swap
Time to learn how everyone else does Thanksgiving. Record a video where each teammate explains (or acts out) one tradition from their family's Thanksgiving that the others have never heard of. Turkey bowling? Pie before dinner? Pajamas at the table? We want the details. Under 60 seconds.
Grand Finale: Everybody In
You made it to the end! Round up EVERY guest at the party, not just your team, and squeeze everyone into one giant Friendsgiving photo. Hosts in the middle, food in the frame if you can manage it. This is the one that goes on the fridge next year.
