Best Practices for Branding: Making Your Experience Stand Out
Like we always say: Experience is everything. And that means making your Goosechase Experience, from sign-up to game play, as on-brand and delightful as possible for participants.
You know what they say about "Kleenex" being universal code for "facial tissue"? And "Colgate" being code for "toothpaste"? It's called branding, people! And a little of its magic can go a long way in making your Experience feel polished, professional, and memorable.
From spotlighting your logo to customizing Mission names, here’s how to make your Goosechase Experience uniquely yours.
Customize Your Goosechase Experience Name and Description
First impressions matter! Your Experience name and description set the tone for the activity, so make them count and use them to your advantage.
- Pick a name that reflects your brand or theme. Participants can search for your Experience by name or Join Code. If they're doing the former, making sure they can tell it's the right Experience is especially important (there will be a ton of "___ Sales Kickoff" Experiences, for example).
Depending on what your Experience is for, you can also have fun with it - we're all for a pun or some alliteration. - Use the description to reinforce your objectives, prizes, and brand voice. Keep it playful, inspiring, or straight-to-the-point—whatever suits your style!
Add Imagery to Your Goosechase
A nice Experience image and splash screen don't need to be fancy, and they instantly make your Experience look polished and professional.
- Upload an image to your Experience: This icon will help set differentiate your Experience from others that might have similar names.
- Add a splash screen: A splash screen is a full-screen image that displays for 5 seconds the first time a participant joins your Experience. Take advantage of this space to welcome your attendees, or even offer it up as a space for sponsor logos.
Pro tip: When adding a splash screen, you can preview how your image will look on a mobile device.
Add a Custom Terms of Service
Want to make sure you can use submission for social media and marketing efforts? You can add a link to a Terms of Service or photo release form for participants to review before joining.
Pro tip: Make sure to add this link in before anyone joins the Experience, to ensure every participant has opted in!
Brand Your Missions
Your Missions are where the action happens, so make them work for your brand!
- Customize Mission names and descriptions with your brand’s personality. Got a playful brand? Use puns. Keeping it professional? Stick to a sleek, clear format.
- Use Missions to tell your brand’s story. A nonprofit could add a Mission about their cause, while a company could highlight product trivia or team values.
- Add links and images to every Mission! Share key resources, embed videos, or showcase branded visuals to enhance the Experience.
🔹 Pro Tip: Get creative! A museum Experience for guests could link to a new exhibit page, while a company could add a video from the CEO.
Branding your Goosechase Experience isn’t just about looks—it’s about creating a whole experience that feels uniquely yours. Whether you’re adding your logo to a splash screen, crafting an on-brand Experience name, or using links and images to add color to Missions, these small details add up to a big, memorable impact.
